Kazakh tennis player advances in Vancouver

ASTANA-VANCOUVER. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan-based Yulia Putintseva has sneaked into second round of the ITF tournament with the prize fund of $100,000 in Vancouver, Canada, Kazinform has learnt from Sports.kz.

In the first round match Putintseva outplayed Canadian Gloria Liang in straight sets 7:5, 6:3.

Up next for Russian-born Putintseva is Asia Muhammad of the U.S. who routed the fourth-seed Urszula Radwanska from Poland in epic three-set match 6:7, 6:4, 6:3.
