Kazakh tennis player Cecil Karatancheva rose to seven lines in WTA ranking
Top-ranked Kazakh Yaroslava Shvedova once again worsened her position in the ranking, having fallen from 34th to 35th place. Ksenia Pervak (from 93 th to 99 th) and Galina Voskoboeva (from 105th to 112th) also rolled back, but Julia Putintseva became 93th number in the world (+1). Zarina Diyas remained at the 223rd place, and Anna Danilina, rising up two lines, became the 349th.
The leadership in the women's rankings is kept by the American tennis player Serena Williams. Russian Maria Sharapova, after successful performance at the WTA tournament in Indian Wells, rose to the second place, and the Belarusian Victoria Azarenka became the third. Italian Sara Errani, improving its position on one line, is the seventh world tennis player. Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic is the eighth, Dane Caroline Wozniacki - ninth and Australian Samantha Stosur is the 10th.
