Kazakh tennis player propels to WTA 1000 China Open main tournament

Zarina Diyas of Kazakhstan advanced to the main draw of the upcoming WTA 1000 tennis tournament in Beijing, China, Kazinform News Agency reports.

The Kazakh tennis player defeated British Heather Watson (ranked 57th) in the final qualifying bout in two sets with a score of 6:0, 6:2.

Earlier, Zarina stunned Spain's Rebeka Masarova in the semifinals in two sets with a score of 6:4, 6:0.

It bears to remind that Zarina Diyas returned to the WTA Tour this year after a two-year rehabilitation period following a severe injury.

The WTA 1000 China Open is set to run from September 25 through October 6.
