Kazakh tourists advised not to visit certain regions of Egypt

ASTANA.KAZINFORM - The Committee of Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan recommended domestic tour operators and tourists to be careful in Egypt in connection with the terrorist threat.

Taking into consideration the increased threat of terrorism in the Sinai peninsula and continuing actions of the Egyptian authorities to suppress criminal and radical groups' activities in those areas, the Committee of Tourism Industry strongly recommend Kazakh tour operators to focus on work in the mainland Egyptian coast of the Red Sea - Hurghada and Mars Alam, as well as Sharm el-Sheikh and Dahab. Up to normalization of the situation in the country it is necessary to pass up sending Kazakhstan tourists in other areas of the peninsula, including Tabu and St. Catherine, the press service of the committee warns. In addition, it is not recommended to organize trips on the territory of Egypt, including Cairo , Alexandria , Aswan and Luxor . "We warn once again the tourists who are on holiday in Egypt not to go to the services of unlicensed Egyptian agents to tour in the country ", the press service persuades.
