Kazakh TV series 'TWO' announced at MIPCOM
A trailer of the Kazakh TV series 'TWO' from Unico Play online cinema was released at one of the world's prestigious entertainment content markets MIPCOM, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The TV series 'TWO' is the first Kazakh project to be placed in Fresh TV section alongside the products of the leaders of the world’s entertainment industry such as Netflix, STUDIOCANAL and Beta Film.
MIPCOM is an international exhibition and content market held in Cannes, France, with Fresh TV section by the international research company The Wit standing out, as it focuses on innovative projects as well as a search for emerging talents and fresh ideas in cinema and media.
Annually, over 1,500 leading distribution companies and production companies from around the world present a wide range of TV series and multi-genre content. To be included in Fresh TV section means a lot for any company, providing a good chance to market the project to other countries. We take pride that the Kazakh project received such a high evaluation, which means that the idea of the 'TWO' project, its storyline and quality satisfy all the international trends and standards of quality, said Irina Sosnovaya, executive producer of Unico Play.
The TV series 'TWO' centers on a high school student, who lies about her pregnancy to get her boyfriend back, and now she has to face the consequences of her action.
The TV series covers the important issue of teenage pregnancy. The project raises the question of how the life in the time of social networks impacts on the development and socialization of a child, what digital bulling is and how important relationship between people in a real not virtual life is. Special attention is put on relatshipship between a child and their parents, said Unico Play executive producer Beksultan Kazybek.
It’s worth noting that it’s the first time Unico Play, part of the Uni-Q Group media holding, was released at one of the major cinema markets of the world.
