Kazakh Vice Minister of Trade and Integration appointed

By the Decree of the Kazakh Government, Asset Nussupov has been appointed as Vice Minister of Trade and Integration, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Government.

Asset Nussupov was born in 1983 in Almaty. He graduated from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Illinois Institute of Technology.

He started his career in 2004 as a manager of the National Innovation Fund JSC.

In 2006-2008, he completed an internship in the Department of Venture Capital Funding at Flagship Ventures in Cambridge and in the international investment firm Small Enterprise Assistance Funds in Washington, DC.

In 2008-2010, he assumed the role of project manager at the Kazakhstan Investment Fund JSC. Concurrently, he served as a consultant at the World Bank representative office in Central Asia and the Asian Development Bank representative office in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In addition, he held the position of Deputy Director at the World Economy Research Center.

From 2010 to 2015, he worked as inspector and head of sector of the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

From 2015 to 2021, he held a position of the head of the sector of the General Security Issues Division of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In 2021-2023, Asset Nussupov served as deputy head of the General Security Issues Division of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Since 2023, he worked as deputy head of the Department of Topical Security Issues of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

As reported earlier, Meirambek Makhambetov was appointed as the Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sport of the Aktobe region.
