Kazakh Vice PM slams quality of mobile service in Astana

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today, First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has roundly slammed the quality of mobile service in the Kazakh capital - Astana.

"We've made a huge step forward in terms of introduction of advanced telecommunication technologies. The carriers are doing their best to improve their services. But even in Astana we hear rising complaints from consumers about cuts-off of mobile service," Mr. Sagintayev said Monday at the meeting of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

"Even here, at the building of the Ministry of Transport and Communication mobile internet connection randomly goes out," he added.

In his words, this issue needs to be solved together with the carriers and through specific normative documents.
