Kazakh Vice Prime Minister specifies high competitiveness of ?AsiaAuto? plant
UST-KAMENOGORSK. February 27. KAZINFORM /Lyudmila Malko/ In order to monitor the course of realization of the ?Kazakhstan?s participation? in production Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev visited North Kazakhstan region. He familiarized himself with the technological cycle of the enterprise and pointed out its high competitiveness, Kazinform correspondent reports.
The head of the plant presented the program on the development of enterprise where along with such famous car assembly plants as AutoVaz, Shkoda, Shevrole, Renault and Nissan the plant authorities intend to build one more neighboring manufactures. The expanding of the output will lead to the creation of 4 thousand new job places and these are 16 additional job places in the neighboring manufactures on the territory of Kazakhstan.
In addition, the head of the plant suggested the Government to consider the possibility and advisability of adopting measures to limit the import of cars from abroad, either to increase the customs duties. In turn, the plant is ready to sign an agreement not to raise their car prices.
