Kazakh water polo team upset in California, U.S.

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan continues its participation in the 2015 FINA Men's Intercontinental Water Polo Tournament in Newport Beach, California, the U.S., Kazinform refers to Sports.kz.

Eight competing nations from three continents - Australia, Brazil, the U.S., Canada, China, Japan, Argentina and Kazakhstan - are fighting for the FINA World League Super Final berth in Bergamo, Italy. So far Team Kazakhstan demonstrated not-so impressive performance at the tournament by winning only one match against China 10-9 on Day 1. On Day 2 Australia edged out Kazakhstan 10-7, on Day 3 Brazil beat Kazakhstan 10-7, and on Day 4 the U.S. trounced Kazakhstan 17-11. Unfortunately, Kazakhstan didn't reach the semifinals, but it will face off with Japan to fight for 5 or 6th place.
