Kazakh weightlifter wins big at 2015 IWF Youth World Championships

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstani weightlifter Igor Son hauled gold at the 2015 IWF Youth World Championships in Lima, Peru, Vesti.kz. reports.

The 17-year-old Son stunned his opponents by lifting 92kg in snatch and 116kg in clean and jerk (208kg) in Men's -50kg category. A Vietnamese athlete was ranked second with 202kg, while Zulfat Garayev from Russia came third with 201kg. The championships that brought together over 200 weightlifters from all corners of the world will run in Lima until April 12, 2015.
