Kazakh women's short track speed skating team enters top 5 of World Tour rankings

The ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour has finished in Beijing, China. The national women’s team claimed the 3rd place, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan’s Olga Tikhonova, Yana Khan, Malika Yermek, and Alina Azhgaliyeva snatched bronze in the women's 3,000-meter relay at the ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Tour competition held on December 6-8.

Thus, Team Kazakhstan skyrocketed three spots securing 5th standing in the World Tour ranking and earned 142 points.

Canada is the leader of the ranking with 260 points.

It was earlier reported that Kazakhstan's junior speed skating team claimed the bronze medal at the ISU Junior World Cup Speed Skating in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.
