Kazakh writer awarded Order for contribution to world literature

ALMATY. February 2. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya / Sabit Dossanov, the famous Kazakh writer, laureate of the International Sholokhov Prize, academician of the Russian Academy of literature, pedagogical and social sciences, was awarded the Gavriil Derzhavin order for contribution to literature, humanistic direction of writings and public activity. Awarding took place at the end of last week in the Writers? Union of Russia, Moscow.

Among foreign writers only Nikolay Petev, the chairman of the board of Writers? Union of Bulgaria, was awarded the order of the great poet and statesman G. Derzhavin. Among Russian writers the laureates were Sergey Mikhalkov, Vladimir Krupin, Sergey Essin and others. The major Russian writers highly appreciated the contribution of S.Dossanov to the world literature and heartily congratulated brother of the quill.
