Kazakhstan's accession to WTO discussed in Davos

ASTANA-DAVOS. KAZINFORM - Karim Massimov, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, has had a meeting with European Commissioner for Trade Cecilia Malmstrӧm on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos today, Kazinform has learnt from primeminister.kz.

At the meeting, Massimov and Malmstrӧm talked over the development of Kazakh-EU cooperation in trade, economic and investment sectors.

Utmost attention was paid to the forthcoming accession of Kazakhstan to the World Trade Organization (WTO).

Karim Massimov noted that Kazakhstan is working on the process of accession on conditions that suit the long-term national economic interests.

Moreover, the sides agreed that entry into the WTO will enhance trade and economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EU.
