Kazakhstan able to draw up independent view on gas transit to Europe: Gazprom
MOSCOW. January 18. KAZINFORM. /Arnur Rakhymbekov/ Within the summit on Russia?s gas transit to Europe a Kazinform correspondent asked Gazprom?s Official Spokesman Sergey Kupriyanov to comment on Kazakhstan?s participation in it.
According to Mr. Kupriyanov, it is important to know opinions of all interested sides on today?s gas dispute with Ukraine. In this regard, Kazakhstan, as a large hydrocarbons supplier, participates in the conference. ?We consider that our Kazakh partners are able to draw up its independent view. Today when we speak about interests of our European consumers, Kazakhstan is able to form its objective view, as gas exporting countries do?, he said.
As is known, Russian-Kazakh cooperation in gas sphere has two directions. Kazakhstan transits Turkmen and Uzbek gas to Russia and Europe. Besides, in compliance with the agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Russia, ?KazRosGaz? joint venture was established. It deals with operations with Kazakhstan?s gas, including marketing, processing, transportation, realization of natural gas and gas products in the domestic and external markets.
