KAZINFORM /Sergey Kuznetsov/ Today within the working trip to the North Kazakhstan region President Nursultan Nazarbayev has met with the citizens of the town of Petropavlovsk at M. Zhumabayev square. Here he also got familiarized himself with an exhibition of modern high-technological agricultural vehicles. Thousand of citizens warmly greeted the Head of the State who also took participation in a fair and festive events devoted to ?Maslenitsa?, Kazinform correspondent reports.

The President said that the North Kazakhstan oblast was one of the largest grain and food regions. ?My visit aims at familiarization with the course of preparation for spring sowing campaigns, realization of the anti-crisis measures. The Northern Kazakhstan has always been a large agrarian region. For the last four years agro-industrial sector?s development has been in spotlight of the state. The republic as well as your region has renewed its machine-tractor park by 80% and has provided it with the up-to-date high-production vehicles. I am confident that North Kazakhstan people will succeed in spring sowing campaign and will gather good harvest?, N. Nazarbayev said. In spite of the global financial crisis Kazakhstan fulfills its social commitments: pensions, wages of the workers of state-run organizations and other social groups have been raised since beginning of the year. They will be increased in 2010 and 2011. The Government and local executive bodies take measures on restraining prices growth. In this connection the Head of the State positively estimated local executives? work on realization of the region?s anti-crisis program. ?Kazakhstan is able to ensure the country?s food security and overcome the current difficulties?, the President stated. Speaking on the challenges the region faces today, the President noted the people of the North Kazakhstan oblast always supported the state policy and at present the oblast conducts huge work on ensuring food security. N. Nazarbayev called North Kazakhstanis to work actively on realization of anti-crisis measures and highlighted that the Government and the state would support the agro-industrial complex, industrial production and social programs. Representatives of the community expressed gratitude to the Head of the State for his work on development of the country?s economy and care of the Kazakhstanis? well-being. On the second half of the day N. Nazarbayev visited Petropavlovsk broiler poultry farm. The Head of the State surveyed workshop #2 on broiler chickens growing. The project worth USD 5 mln is realized together with ?MAD Corporation? Israeli firm. The project capacity of the poultry farm is estimated in 7 thousand tons of meat per year. After that the President surveyed ?Nauryz 2003? LLP greenhouse complex. The enterprise plans to implement a perspective project on its development to the amount of KZT 120 mln. ?Tobol? SEC is the investor of the project. Upon completion of the working trip, the Head of the State gave an interview to the journalists of the national and local mass media in which he favorably viewed North Kazakhstanis? and local executives? work.
