Kazakhstan accredits more international observers
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan (CEC) accredited 153 more international observers. The corresponding regulation was adopted at the session of the Commission on Monday, March 30.
The newly accredited observers represent two international organizations and two foreign countries. According to CEC member Tatyana Okhlopkova, 144 observers represent the CIS election observation mission, 5 observers are from the SCO mission, 3 observers are from Greece and 1 - from Germany. Thus, 236 observers from OSCE/ODIHR, CIS and SCO missions and 19 foreign states have been accredited by the Central Election Commission as of March 30, 2015. Besides, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan has accredited 98 representatives of foreign mass media from 19 countries. The process of accreditation of observers from foreign states and international organizations is due to last till April 20, 2015.
