Kazakhstan achieved great success in education - U.S. Ambassador

TANA. November 23. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ Kazakh Minister of Education and Science Bakytzhan Zhumagulov met with U.S. Ambassador to Kazakhstan Kenneth Fairfax on Wednesday.

The parties noted the progress in educational cooperation between the two countries.

"Now we start an active phase of cooperation in scientific and technical cooperation. I think this is a very good direction. In the field of education we are the only country in the former Soviet Union to introduce a three-level specialist training. We want to build a worthy education system, taking into account not only the best international practices, but also our national peculiarities," Zhumagulov said.

Ambassador Fairfax noted that Kazakhstan achieved great success in the field of education. "I always imagined Kazakhstan as a country with one foot in Europe, and the other - in Asia," he added.
