Kazakhstan aims at improving sustainable agriculture technologies - President Tokayev
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan addressed the issue of food security while delivering his speech at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2025 in the UAE, Akorda reports.

Innovative approaches are needed to ensure stable food and fertilizer supplies to global markets. Kazakhstan, the world’s major wheat and flour exporter, aims at improving sustainable agriculture methods and technologies in the future, said the Head of State.
As Tokayev said, the world needs a new development paradigm based on sustainability, justice and stability, so as to face the ongoing challenges. According to him, an integrated system encompassing three key principles is required to address global challenges.
The first is to ensure green financing, that needs to become more accessible. The second principle is to expand international cooperation in the transfer of technologies, technical support and scientific research. Solar power, smart agriculture, carbon capture and climate technology run on AI offer a wide range of innovative solutions. The third one is a synergy of climate priorities, economic development and AI, which could account for over 16% of the global GDP by 2030. This underscores the importance of a flexible and individual approach to supporting countries’ different objectives in sustainable development, stated President Tokayev.
In conclusion, President Tokayev expressed a desire for the summit to become an important milestone to identify global priorities and coordinate efforts in the area of sustainable development for decades to come.
Addressing the event were also President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Prime Minister Petteri Orpo of Finland, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, president of the International Union for Conservation of Nature Razan Al Mubarak and others.
