Kazakhstan and Australia can successfully cooperate in overcoming global financial crisis: Margaret Toomy

ASTANA. February 11. KAZINFORM Kazakhstan and Australia can successfully cooperate in overcoming global financial crisis. Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Australia to Russia and Kazakhstan Margaret Toomy told it at the briefing after presenting credentials to Secretary of State of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev, Kazinform reports.

?Global financial crisis particularly affects those countries that are rich in natural resources. Therefore, I think our countries should discuss how to overcome crisis to prosper in future?, she said. M. Toomy noted that both countries successfully cooperate in the field of natural resources and it is necessary to enhance this cooperation. According to her, Kazakhstan and Australia will successfully cooperate in the framework of the United Nations since both countries are candidates for membership of the Security Council. She also emphasized that bilateral negotiations on Kazakhstan?s joining the WTO have been completed.
