Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Parliament Speakers ink coop agreement

The document that opens a new stage of collaboration between the Majilis of Kazakhstan and the Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan has been signed in Baku.
The parties have discussed the main directions of further partnership focusing on legal groundwork for the tasks outlined in the long-term documents of President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
According to the agreement, to exchange experiences the lawmaking parties intend to establish a system interaction between the relevant committees of the parliaments, interact on promoting agreed and concerted positions within the inter-parliamentary organizations and to contribute to unity within the Turkic Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking states.
Nurlan Nigmatulin and Oktay Asadov shared opinion in other areas of the Kazakh- zerbaijani partnership. The two sides expressed confidence that the document on strategic partnership and allied relations, agreement of Heads of States as well as similarity of positions on regional and international issues contribute to the progressive development of relations.
According to the Kazakh and Azerbaijani speakers, our countries have a great potential for cooperation. Primarily in investment in joint projects for transportation of oil and gas, agriculture, transport and communications as well as other industries.
