Kazakhstan and China set to expand air service

Kazakhstan and Russia are set to increase the flights between the two nations, Kazinform News Agency cites the Civil Aviation Committee.

As earlier reported, Kazakhstan and China had introduced the visa-free regime starting from November 10, 2023. The Kazakh Transport Ministry and air carriers are working at increasing the number of flights to China.

Air Astana plans to increase the flights en route Almaty-Beijing from 6 to 7 flights a week, Astana -Beijing from 1 to 3 flights a week and Almaty-Urumqi from 2 to 7 weekly flights. Besides, next year it is set to launch new flights to Shanghai, Ganzhou and Chengdu.

Notably, Air Logistics of China is expected to inaugurate regular cargo flights en route Almaty-Xian.

The abovementioned air carriers will operate 84 flights a week according to the agreements between the aviation authorities of Kazakhstan and China.
