This September, the delegation of the Baiturssynuly Kostanay Regional University headed by rector Seitbek Kuanyshbayev visited the NWAFU, which ranks among the top agriculture universities of China, and signed a cooperation agreement.

The sides met to debate cooperation issues in agricultural science, veterinary medicine, ecology, and biology. The Kazakh university developed a roadmap to reflect the directions for further collaboration, outlining, first of all, the exchange of students and teachers and, the academic mobility program. The parties laid an emphasis on joint scientific research. In particular, the point at issue is the development of an agro-centre at the Kostanay Regional University to jointly test new crop varieties. To this end, the sides are expected to establish a potato virus-free sedimentation laboratory. Kostanay scientists will soon leave for China to pass an internship and start their research next May.
