Kazakhstan and El Salvador established diplomatic relations

El Salvador - is a small by size and the most densely populated country in Central America, located on the shore of the Pacific Ocean. Major activity of its economy is export of coffee, sugar cane, food and sea products. El Salvador is a founding UN member, a member of the World Trade Organization, as well as of other global and regional organizations.
Kazakhstan's Foreign Ministry continues the process of diversification of the state foreign policy. One of its new geographical priorities is the region of Latin America and Caribbean (LAC). The region with total population around 600 million and total GDP exceeding US$ 4,5 trillion plays a great role in the system of international political and economic relations, the Kazakh MFA's press service reports.
Last year, Kazakhstan's Foreign Minister paid his first in the history visit to Chile, Argentine and Brazil. During the visit he saw a great interest of his counterparts to partnership with Kazakhstan, as well as to development of trade-economic and cultural cooperation with Kazakhstan within UN on the issues of global agenda.
An initial result of the resumed dialogue is easing or elimination of visa requirements between Kazakhstan and a number of Latin American countries.
Last year, the trade turnover with three largest economies of the LAC region already amounted to US$ 500 million.
During the last year Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations with nine countries of the LAC region. Overall, out of total 33 countries of the region Kazakhstan has established diplomatic relations with 31 countries.
