Kazakhstan and Estonia develop academic cooperation

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Estonia Nurlan Seitimov met with the President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences Tarmo Soomere. The sides discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation in science and education, Kazinform News Agency reports via the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides also discussed various ways of academic exchanges and implementing joint projects between educational institutions. It was agreed to consider the possibility of concluding a cooperation agreement between the two countries’ academies of sciences.

Nurlan Seitimov informed the Tarmo Soomere about the measures launched by Kazakhstan to develop the scientific base, current initiatives to establish cooperation with foreign academic communities and promote innovative research activity.

Upon completion of the meeting the sided stated the need to initiate concrete steps to establish bilateral contacts.
