Kazakhstan and EU have great potential for successful cooperation
The development of the Kazakh-European cooperation was in the focus of the meeting. The sides noted that the expansion of partnership relations is a strategic priority of the foreign policy both of Kazakhstan and the European Union.
The interlocutors noted that Kazakhstan and the European Union share similar stance on the strengthening of security and stability in Eurasia. Mr. Nigmatulin stressed Nursultan Nazarbayev's contribution to ensure and consolidate security in Central Asia and globally.
Majilis Speaker and Ms Bouchez pointed out that the inter-parliamentary cooperation was an important component of bilateral relations. The Parliamentary Cooperation Committee "Kazakhstan-European Union", created back in 2000, is an effective dialogue platform to discuss the most pressing regional and global issues. Currently, Kazakhstan and the EU are developing a new agreement in order to deepen ties and define priorities for future cooperation.
The sides were confident that Kazakhstan and the EU have great potential for successful cooperation.
