Kazakhstan and Georgia strengthen bilateral ties
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today Kazakh Prime Minister Karim Massimov has held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, who arrived in Kazakhstan on an official visit, according to the website of the Prime Minister.

During the meeting, Mr. Massimov and Mr.Garibashvili discussed a wide range of issues of trade and economic, investment and transit-transport cooperation. Following the talks, the heads of governments held a joint press conference. The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan emphasized that the key issue on the agenda was the expansion of transit-transport corridors linking our countries. In this regard, K. Massimov said that Kazakhstan is interested in the speedy completion of the construction of "Baku-Tbilisi-Kars" railway. In turn, I.Garibashvili noted that Kazakhstan is the major partner of Georgia in Central Asia. In conclusion Mr.Garibashvili expressed readiness of the Government of Georgia to develop and deepen the Kazakh-Georgian relations.
