Kazakhstan and India cooperate in sports

Mumbai Mayors Cup International Open Chess Tournament.

15-member Indian Boxing team is attending the training-cum-competition program being held in Almaty from 29 April 2009 to 16 May 2009.
At present, Indian women weightlifters are also undergoing training in Kazakhstan. The training programs and contests are aimed at sharing experience and benefiting from the advantages of each other. As known, Kazakhstan?s boxers and weightlifters are world leaders, who brought several gold medals in Beijing Games 2008, while Indian grandmasters are well known internationally, the press service of the Kazakhstan Embassy in India informs.
