Kazakhstan and Russia are strategic partners and allies, says President
Head of State Kasym-Jomart Tokayev announced the start of construction of the Kazakh-Russian butadiene production plant at the 19th Interregional Cooperation Forum, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The new project launched together with Russia’s Tatneft will have a capacity of 340,000 tons per year.
The Kazakh President also revealed that the sides wrapped up talks on the construction of a polyethylene production plant.
Kazakhstan and Russia, in his words, have implemented a host of industrial projects since 2019, including 30 projects worth $3.2 billion. 60 more projects to the tune of $27 billion are to be implemented.
President Tokayev added that Astana and Moscow touched upon new horizons of industrial cooperation at the international industrial exhibition INNOPROM in the Kazakh capital this September.
This, according to the Head of State, demonstrates that Kazakhstan and Russia are strategic partners and allies.
