Kazakhstan and Russia debate defence industry complexes integration issues

MOSCOW. KAZINFORM As part of his working visit to Moscow, Defence Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akmetov met with deputy head of military-industrial commission under the Russian Government Oleg Bochkarev.

The talks addressed urgent issues of further integration of defence industry complexes of Kazakhstan and Russia, co-production of special-purpose products. Akhmetov noted potential and readiness of Kazakhstani enterprises to switch their productions, and spoke for participation of Kazakhstan's defence companies in filling of government defence order of Russia. According to him, joint action plan for military-technical cooperation between Kazakhstan and Russia for 2014-2016 will contribute to it.
