Kazakhstan and Russia discussed strategic partnership
The sides noted the dynamic development of cooperation between the two countries and discussed a wide range of issues of Kazakh-Russian strategic partnership.
Today Russia is the largest trading partner of Kazakhstan. The share of bilateral trade turnover is about 20% of the total foreign trade of Kazakhstan. Currently there are about 1700 Kazakh-Russian enterprises in Kazakhstan; about three thousand of these companies are in Russia, 76 of 89 subjects of the Russian Federation have trade and economic relations with Kazakhstan.
The importance of further development of integration processes in the framework of the Single Economic Space has also been stressed upon.
In addition, the sides emphasized the high dynamics of personal contacts of Nursultan Nazarbayev and Vladimir Putin, which provide an important impetus to the entire range of the Kazakh-Russian relations.
