Kazakhstan and Russia have common positions in OSCE PA - K.Tokayev

COW. October 27. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ Kazakhstan and Russia are supporting consolidated positions in such significant organization like the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly; Kazakh Senate Speaker has announced at the meeting with Chairman of the Russian Federation Council Sergey Mironov.

At the meeting the sides stated successful development of the Kazakh-Russian cooperation at the level of strategic partnership and allied relations and noted dynamical strengthening contacts between deputies of the houses committees and deputy groups.

The participants held exchange of opinions on a wide range of cooperation in international organizations, in the field of enhancing the regional security and interaction within the framework of the OSCE. K.Tokayev expressed gratitude to the Russian side for support of Kazakhstan's candidacy for the chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010.

K.Tokayev noted: "We actively interact and work in the same vein in such integration unions like the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, CSTO and EurAsEC Parliamentary Assemblies. Besides, we actively work and support consolidated positions in such significant organization like the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly".

S.Mironov, in his turn, noted Kazakhstan's role in international organizations and highly appraised Kazakhstan's forthcoming chairmanship in the OSCE.

The Chairman of the Russian Federation Council emphasized positive dynamics of interaction within the CIS. "We always meet at the session of the CIS PA. The PA as a component of our cooperation will continue its activity", he emphasized.
