Kazakhstan and Russia have no disputes, says Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
Kazakhstan and Russia will implement a great deal of joint projects next year, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated during a press briefing following his talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, Kazinform News Agency reports.
During today’s meeting, together with President Putin we discussed in detail the dynamics of interaction between our countries in the multilateral format as well as exchanged views on the most pressing issues of regional and global policy in a constructive way. I with satisfaction note our full mutual understanding of cooperation in such important gatherings such as the CIS, EAEU, SCO, CSTO, CICA and others. There is virtually no such area in which our countries do not interact, but most importantly, Kazakhstan and Russia have no disputes, said the Head of State.
According to the Kazakh leader, the countries always find balanced solutions, maximally geared toward the interests of both sides.
Taking the opportunity, I express gratitude to the President of Russia for his continued personal attention to enhancing friendly relationships between our nations. We have a lot of joint work ahead of us. Some serious groundwork has been laid for 2025. A great deal of joint projects, which I believe will benefit citizens and businesses of our countries are yet to be realized. Next January will mark 20 years since the signing of one of the fundamental interstate documents – the Treaty on Kazakh-Russian State Border, said Tokayev.
Head of State Tokayev went on to add that the year 2025 will mark 80 years of the Great Victory and 70 years since the establishment of Baikonur cosmodrome.
We’ve agreed to hold different events on the occasion of these important dates. As you can see, the bilateral agenda regularly updated with concrete initiatives and new interesting projects, concluded Tokayev.
