Kazakhstan and Russia to launch single regional air-defense system

ASTANA. January 30. KAZINFORM Today, Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov and his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoigu have signed an Agreement on single regional air-defense system.

According to the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Defense, the Agreement will constitute a ground for Kazakhstan airspace security and relatively for border area of Russia.

Following the meeting, the defense ministers stressed that the Kazakh-Russian military cooperation is strategic and aims not only to the stability and security of the neighboring countries, but also to preserve peace in the region.
