Kazakhstan and Serbia eye increasing trade turnover

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Serbia Madi Atamkulov held a meeting with the Minister of Internal and Foreign Trade of Serbia Tomislav Momirović, Kazinform News Agency has learnt from the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.

During the meeting, the possibilities of expanding trade relations between the two states were discussed, in this context, special attention was paid to the issues of holding the third meeting of the Kazakhstan-Serbia Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation.

The Kazakh diplomat emphasized the need to diversify bilateral trade turnover, in this context called for more active use of the expanding opportunities of the Middle Corridor.

According to Tomislav Momirović, the official Belgrade pays great attention to the development of relations with Kazakhstan, both at the political and economic levels.

The Minister confirmed the great interest of the Serbian side in the realization of joint economic projects. In this regard, in order to explore new niches of cooperation, Momirović expressed willingness to visit Kazakhstan with a Serbian business delegation in early 2025.
