Kazakhstan and Seychelles establish diplomatic relations

In New York, Permanent Representative of Kazakhstan and Seychelles to the UN Kairat Abdrakhmanov and Marie-Louise Potter signed a joint communique on establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries. During the meeting there was exchange of views on the status and prospects of bilateral cooperation within the UN, according to Kazakh Foreign Ministry. The Parties recognize the importance of expanding mutually beneficial contacts in the field of tourism, education, trade and access to regional markets. Particular attention was paid to the forthcoming Summit of Small Island Developing States. Seychelles is one of the first countries in the African region, to support the candidacy of the city of Astana to hold specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.
