Kazakhstan and Slovakia discussed signing of mutual legal assistance treaty

ASTANA. March 7. KAZINFORM Kazakh Prosecutor General Askhat Daulbayev paid a visit to the Slovakia and met with Slovak Deputy Prosecutor General Mr. Ladislav Tikhiy and the State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice Mrs. Monica Yankovskaya, Kazinform has learnt from the Press-service of the General Prosecutor's Office.

During the conversation the parties discussed a wide range of questions, representing mutual interest, including in the field of combating crime.

In this regard, the important theme of conversation became the questions of possibility of signing the Treaty on mutual legal assistance between Kazakhstan and Slovakia which would give an additional impulse to the bilateral relations of both countries.

Mr.Tikhiy highly appreciated the role of prosecution service of Kazakhstan in realization the state international legal policy and assured that the Prosecutor General's Office of Slovakia will use all efforts for signing the Treaty and its further realization.

During a meeting with the State secretary of the Ministry of Justice, the interlocutors confirmed their intention to continue the cooperation on the questions connected with the general strategic tasks of law enforcement and regional security, coordination of efforts on joint counteraction of calls and threats in the modern world.
