Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom to ink agr't on strategic partnership

ASTANA. July 1. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan and the United Kingdom are planning to sign a strategic partnership agreement.

This has been stated today by the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, during the bilateral talks in expanded format with the Prime Minister David Cameron.

The Head of State stressed that Mr. Cameron is making his first ever visit to our country as acting Prime Minister.

"This is a historic event. And the second is that it is the first time we will endorse a strategic partnership agreement ", said Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Kazakhstan President stressed that the UK takes the third place after the United States and the Netherlands in terms of foreign direct investment in Kazakhstan ($ 12 billion), and the turnover last year amounted to 2.3 billion dollars.

"I think we will be able to significantly increase these figures," concluded Nazarbayev.
