Kazakhstan and Turkey negotiated customs cooperation deepening

ASTANA. June 25. KAZINFORM Delegation of the Ministry of Customs and Trade of Turkey headed by Minister Hayti Yazici visited Kazakhstan, the press service of the Kazakh Embassy in Turkey reports.

The aim of the visit is the enhancement of cooperation beween the customs authorities of the two countries.

Meetings between H. Yazici and Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan Bolat Zhamishev, Chairperson of the Customs Control Committee of the Finance Ministry Mazhit Yessenbayev and the representatives of Kazakhstan's business circles were held within the visit.

The sides exchanged their views on main aspects of the customs services of Kazakhstan and Turkey and discussed a wide range of issues in the sphere of customs affairs. The focus of the negotiations was on the Kazakh-Turkish customs services cooperation in the law-enforcement sphere.

Besides, a necessity of interaction in frames of realization of the "Silk Road" Project on trade relations development, information exchange in the customs statistics field, risk management and cooperation in the staff training area were touched upon.

In addition, the sides confirmed they are ready to contribute to further development of friendship and cooperation of the two countries for investment sponsorship and expansion of the external economic activity of Kazakhstan and Turkey.

Following the visit, agreements on the deepening of customs cooperation, exchange of experience and information in this field were signed between the two countires.
