Kazakhstan and Ukraine to develop military cooperation

TANA. November 15. KAZINFORM Kazakh Minister of Defense Adilbek Dzhaksybekov received Ukrainian delegation on Tuesday in Astana.

The Minister noted that regular meetings gave impulse to the relations between the two armies, and informed the representatives of the Ukrainian side of what is happening in the Kazakh Army.

"At present, we continue to improve our armed forces by enhancing their quality parameters, which will significantly change the Kazakh Army by 2015. We are implementing the strategic tasks set by the President on establishing a professional army capable of quick deployment of its forces and equipment," said the Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan.

During the meeting the sides signed a number of documents - agreement between the defense ministries of Kazakhstan and Ukraine on military cooperation and program of cooperation for 2012.

Dzhaksybekov invited his Ukrainian counterpart Mikhail Yezhel to the celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan Armed Forces on 7 May 2012 as well as to the second international exhibition of arms and military-technical property KADEX-2012.
