Kazakhstan and USA signed military cooperation plan for 2013-2017

 ASTANA. December 11. KAZINFORM A five-year military cooperation plan for the next term from 2012 to 2017 between defense ministries of Kazakhstan and the USA was signed during bilateral consultations in Washington.

During the consultations, special attention was paid to the training of special forces. The parties agreed to form a program of joint training and exchange of experience.

Kazakh military delegation chaired by Deputy Minister of Defense Major General Talgat Zhanzhumanov visited a number of the U.S. defense industry enterprises, where he said that one of the main priorities of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan today is the development of the domestic defense industry. In this context, particular attention is paid to the military-technical cooperation with foreign partners, including the member states of the North Atlantic Alliance.

After the event, the parties emphasized that the United States of America and the Republic of Kazakhstan are pursuing the same goal - to strengthen relations between Kazakhstan and the United States by continuing dialogue and cooperation.
