Kazakhstan arrests another top official suspected of corruption

KARAGANDA. KAZINFORM - Former Chairman of the Board of NAC Social and entrepreneurial corporation Saryarka JSC Talgat Abilda suspected of corruption was arrested in Karaganda city.

Local court sanctioned a two-month arrest for the corrupt official, according to spokesperson of the court Aliya Zhosheva. According to reports, Talgat Abilda was detained on Saturday evening, March 21. The 44-year-old Abilda worked as the Chairman of the Board of NAC Saryarka JSC from 2012 to 2014. Earlier he served as the deputy governor of Karaganda region and controlled agricultural and social protection sectors. Throughout his career, Mr. Abilda held various posts at Samruk-Kazyna National Welfare Fund JSC and NAC Kazatomprom JSC.
