Kazakhstan at the Turin International Book Fair
New works of Kazakhstani writers, children's literature, as well as colourful books and albums in three languages (Kazakh, Russian and English)from the series «My Kazakhstan», published by the «Almatykitap baspasy», about the culture and traditions of the Kazakh people, its customs and rites, lyrical and heroic epics and the nature of Kazakhstan, were exposed. The books of the famous Kazakh writer Karina Sarsenova were also presented. Kazinform refers to Foreign Ministry. The Embassy of Kazakhstan has offered to the guests and participants of the Fair books, brochures and booklets about the Kazakhstan published in Italian, including the books «In the Heart of Eurasia» and «G-global: the world of the XXI century» by Nursultan Nazarbayev. The official opening of the Turin International Book Fair was attended by the Italian President Sergio Mattarella.He was presented by President N.Nazarbayev's books and a set of books about Kazakhstan during his short visit to Kazakhstan's stand. The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Andrian Yelemessov, welcoming the guests of the stand, noted that the aim of this project is to promote the cultural image of Kazakhstan through propagation of creativity of Kazakh writers in Italy - one of the largest states in Europe. He also expressed confidence that Kazakhstan's stand at the Turin Book Fair will contribute to the realization of our interests to present culture of Kazakhstan as an integral part of the global cultural heritage. The program of the Kazakh stand involved not only exposition of the books, but also the organization of various presentations, speeches of the authors and Italian experts on various aspects of political, economic and cultural life in the country.
