Kazakhstan attempted to unite and modernize activity within OSCE three baskets: Ukrainian Ambassador
ASTANA. November 12. KAZINFORM /Serik Sabekov/ "Kazakhstan attempted to unite, modernize and improve its activity within the three baskets of the OSCE", Councilor of the Ukrainian Embassy in Kazakhstan Petr Tokar has said today at the workshop "OSCE - New Dimension of Eurasianism" held in Astana.
"The results on the three dimensions are obvious. These are the efforts of Kazakhstan connected with the settlement of both existing and protracted conflicts. Many of initiatives taken by Kazakhstan in this field advocate the idea that Asia as well as the security problems in the Eurasian space is inseparable from Europe today", P.Tokar said.
As the Ukrainian diplomat noted, 11 years have passed since the last Summit of the Organization and 20 years - since adoption of the Paris Charter. "This fact proves that six major events held within the Organization, are not enough for us to address modern challenges more responsibly", he said.
As earlier reported, Ukraine expressed a desire to lead he OSCE in 2013.
