Kazakhstan beat Chinese Taipei 3-1 at Asian Games women's volleyball

Kazakhstan marked the victory with 25-19, 17-25, 25-19, 25-19 and earned their second win at the pool.

Kazakhstan started highly to force Chinese Taipei call a time out at 5-1. Teng Yen-min and Yen Pei-Ling reacted fiercely but could not overcome blocks by taller Kazakhs, and a kill from Sana Jarlagassova secured Kazakhstan's first set win 25-19.

Chinese Taipei came back strongly in the second set. As Chen Wan-tin, Yen and Teng firing everywhere on the net, Kazakhstan's blocks could not keep their momentum. The Chinese Taipei team saw their opponents from a widening distance and gained the set 25-17.

Kazakhstan dominated the following two sets as they exerted a brilliant defence and pulled away early in the set and ran to the final victory at a pair of 25-19.

Earlier on Friday, title holder of 2009 Asian Championship Thailand eased past Mongolia 25-6, 25-9 and 25-22, while South Korea blanked Tajikistan 25-4, 25-7 and 25-3; Kazinform cites Xinhua.
