Kazakhstan became important trade partner of Tajikistan - Kazakhstan President

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has become an important trade partner of Tajikistan and its main investor, this has been announced by President Nursultan Nazarbayev in Akorda during the ceremony of presenting credentials by the ambassadors of foreign countries.

"Kazakhstan considers Tajikistan as an important partner in the Central Asian region. We have become the major trading partner and investor of the country. Kazakhstan investments in Tajikistan's economy already exceeded USD 125 million. However, it is necessary to increase mutual trade turnover and expand cooperation", said Nursultan Nazarbayev. President noted that Kazakhstan is interested in joint implementation of bilateral projects in agricultural processing, construction, and food industries.
