Kazakhstan, Brazil aim to further strengthen bilateral and multilateral interaction

Kazakhstan and Brazil discussed key issues of bilateral cooperation in political and trade-economic spheres and exchanged views on collaboration within multilateral frameworks, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry reported Feb 4.

The issues were discussed at a meeting between Akan Rakhmetullin, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan,  and Marcel Fortuna Biato, Ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Kazakhstan.

Rakhmetullin highlighted Brazil’s active diplomatic role on the international stage this year and conveyed best wishes for a successful organization of upcoming events, such as the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30) in Belém and the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

In conclusion, the parties agreed to continue deepening mutually beneficial dialogue both at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

On November 11, First Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Akan Rakhmetullin met Brazilian Federal Deputy – Chairman of the Kazakhstan-Brazil Interparliamentary Friendship Group Claudio Cajado. The parties discussed the topical issues of  first meeting of the Kazakhstan-Brazil Friendship Group and agreed to provide mutual support for the development of political interaction through the expansion of ties between the two countries' legislative bodies.
