Kazakhstan built 15 mln sq m of housing since Jan
The Kazakh Government summed up housing construction, housing and public utilities infrastructure update results for 2023, Kazinform News Agency reports.
High-quality housing and housing and public utilities infrastructure system modernization remains one of the priorities of the Government.
In his election campaign program titled Just Kazakhstan: For All and For Everyone the Head of State sets the task to build 111 million square meters of housing within seven years.
For the past 11 months, Kazakhstan commissioned more than 15 million square meters of housing, which is 16% more compared to last year. Thus, 134,000 families improved their living conditions. 134,000 dwelling houses, including more than 32,000 single-family houses were put out into service across Kazakhstan. Construction works reached 5.9 trillion tenge, which is 12.6% more compared to last year.
Domestic production of building materials is a key component of the development of the construction sector. The new 2027 roadmap includes 270 construction projects worth 1.8 trillion tenge. 41 projects worth 73 billion tenge have been launched so far.
Three projects will be put into service soon in Shymkent up to 2 billion tenge.
