Kazakhstan can cover domestic demands of agriculture in mineral fertilizers ? V.Shkolnik

ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ Kazakhstan can cover its domestic demands of agriculture in mineral fertilizers theoretically. Kazakh Minister of industry and Trade Vladimir Shkolnik has announced it at the Government?s session today; Kazinform reports.

?Potentially Kazakhstan can manufacture mineral fertilizers fourfold, i.e. 800,000 tons. And we can cover all demand of agriculture?, V.Shkolnik answered a question of Prime Minister Karim Massimov. According to Minister of Agriculture Akhylbek Kurishbayev, demand of agriculture in mineral fertilizers makes up 2.6 mln tons. But only 200,000 tons were used in 2008.
