Kazakhstan can help settle 'frozen conflicts' - Martha Olcott

ANA. October 28. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ As OSCE chair Kazakhstan can contribute to the settlement of the so-called 'frozen conflicts'. American expert Martha Olcott expressed such opinion at the international conference on Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE "Challenges and Prospects" in Astana today.

She noted the country's unique location, its role in relations with Georgia and Moscow, strengthening of friendship with Azerbaijan and historical links with Armenia and Moldova.

"It should be the second area where Kazakhstan's chairmanship can yield big results, activate potential of the OSCE in the settlement of these conflicts", Mrs. Olcott added.
