Kazakhstan can potentially export commodities worth $700 mln to Hungary - President
President Tokayev hailed fruitful negotiations with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán seeking to further deepen strategic cooperation between the two long-standing partners, Kazinform News Agency reports.
While making a joint statement with the Hungarian politician in the Akorda residence, President Tokayev said strengthening all-round partnership and integration are in the interests of the two countries.
The Kazakh leader revealed that during the top-level talks in Astana the sides paid utmost attention to ramping up the volume of two-way trade and development of investment cooperation. In this light, the Head of State said it is crucial to expand the range of commodities and unlock Kazakhstan’s export potential.
In his words, Kazakhstan can supply up to 95 types of commodities worth some $700 million to Hungary.
“We have agreed upon the joint implementation of large projects to further step up investment partnership,” noted the Kazakh President, adding a list of mutually beneficial projects is set to be drafted.
According to Tokayev, Rozhkovskoye gas-condensate field in northwest Kazakhstan is about to start its commercial production. MOL Hungarian Oil’s share in the project will account for $192 million.
